Machinery Electrician

Our ideal candidate:
Seeking an experienced Machinery Electrician with 3-phase, 208/240/480V, and (Industrial Troubleshooting experience) to repair, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand, power, and precision measuring tools. The Electrician diagnoses malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. The Electrician is responsible for the connection of wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Comply with OSHA safety and health rules. Responsible for observing and following all safety regulations with required PPE.

Job Purpose:
Maintains electrical service by diagnosing and repairing electrical problems.

Duties:

* Organizes work by receiving and studying work orders; gathering tools and supplies.

* Diagnoses electrical problems by studying diagrams, manuals, and specifications; troubleshooting systems; conducting tests.

* Repairs electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and components.

* Maintains electrical systems by conducting system tests; completing preventive maintenance requirements;

* Keeps supplies ready by placing orders.

* Maintains safe work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with codes..

Ability to repair, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.

Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state and federal levels.

Perform safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions.

Demonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power).

Demonstrate trouble shooting knowledge without Schematics.

Must be able to read schematics. PLC Programming a plus

Competent with programming of VFD's, CNC Controllers.

Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot PLC's

Must be physically capable of performing work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures.

Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

Perform installation and maintenance work as part of a team of skilled trade workers.

Perform duties in a work environment that will be hot, cold, dirty and fast-paced.

Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.

Electrical repair of Hydraulic Machinery, CNC Lathes, Mills, Grinders, Punch Presses, Saws, Shears, Plate Rolls, Welders, Drills, Press Brakes, and miscellaneous Machinery.

* Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:

Electronics Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, Planning, Equipment Maintenance, Basic Safety, Supply Management, Technical Understanding, Attention to Detail, Quality Focus, Customer Service, Thoroughness

- Strong electrical background is essential as the ideal candidate will be required to troubleshoot and power machines on/off on a regular basis.
- Organized, Punctual, Reliable.
- Intermediate Windows/PC Skills
- Strong Phone Etiquette (ordering parts, etc. and occasional customer contact to answer technical questions).
- Energetic, bi-lingual (Spanish) is also a plus.


Machinery Repair/Service Specialist (Part-Time)

Our ideal candidate:
- Machinery service and repair experience with a variety of machines including: Lathes, Grinders, Mills, Presses, CNC, EDM and many other various machines and equipment.
- Strong electrical background is essential as the ideal candidate will be required to troubleshoot and power machines on/off on a regular basis.
- Organized, Punctual, Reliable.
- Intermediate Windows/PC Skills
- Strong Phone Etiquette (ordering parts, etc. and occasional customer contact to answer technical questions).
- Energetic, bi-lingual (Spanish) is also a plus.
