EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT pyramid granite & metals, inc.

Our company is a private, family owned business spanning five generations and sixty years, and is currently managed by Phil Hoadley. His grandfather, Ralph Blake, started the business in 1944, with Phil's father, Phil Sr. coming on board as World War II ended. Phil's children have been involved in the business for the last 15 years, and he has great hopes that beautiful baby granddaughter Hannah, will someday head the company.

People often ask about our unique name, since the Egyptian pyramids were not actually made of granite, as our name would indicate. The answer to that question begins with Grandpa Ralph's desire to own and operate a long lasting granite company which would become the standard to which all other granite companies would compare themselves. He remembered learning the Egyptians (best known for their pyramid structures) established the first standard of measurement known as the cubit stick, which was made of black granite. The Egyptians chose to make the cubit stick out of black granite because of its beauty, hardness, stability and endurance.
